SUMMER TOMATO SALAD

This is a simple tomato and onion salad recipe that is easy to make and taste good. I like this as a stand a lone dish, for me it is also a good dish to serve with a baked fish or a baked chicken dish.
I have also been known to put it on top of a grilled hamburger stake. Then again I like tomatoes and onions with just about any meal.
You can also add a cucumber or two to this recipe if you like.
Enjoy

4 large ripe tomatoes
2 large onions
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Grated Parmesan cheese
1 bottle of Italian salad dressing (your favorite)
1 bottle of Tabasco sauce (or your favorite hot sauce)

Slice the tomatoes and place a layer of them in the bottom of a large flat bottomed bowl (that has a lid). Then sprinkle them with a good coating of the Parmesan cheese.
Slice the onions and place a layer on top of the tomatoes and the cheese. Then sprinkle the onion layer with another coating of some Parmesan cheese, also sprinkle with Tabasco sauce (to taste).
Repeat the layers until the bowl is full, or until you run out of tomatoes and onions.
Pour the Italian dressing over the layers until all of the layers are covered.
Cover the bowl and place in the refrigerator and let sit over night at least; a couple of days are better.

You can replace the tomatoes as they are eaten, the mixture will keep a long time.
